Time flies – it’s been ~2,5 years since we last played live in our original home country. It’s about time we’re able to announce two upcoming live dates in Tampere and Helsinki this February! For these shows we’re joining forces with our Progressive Gears Records label mates Naryan and their distinctive blend of atmospheric melancholic rock, as well as Keoma (in Helsinki). We really do hope to see many of our Finnish friends out there in February.
We’re pleased to announce an addition to our upcoming shows in The Netherlands: Saturday 23 February 2019 at Popradar Den Haag. The evening will be kicked off by The Dame and their unmistakable “sexy version of progressive rock”. See you in The Hague in February!
May 7th 2018 will see the release of Burntfield‘s debut album Hereafter on Progressive Gears Records. The band will celebrate the album launch with a special free concert on the Basement stage at the Q-Factory Amsterdam on May 12th***.
May 7th 2018 will see the launch of the debut album Hereafter from Burntfield on Progressive Gears.
Hereafter will be available in both digital and physical formats. See all available platforms at: smarturl.it/5p82ob. The physical CD includes a special limited edition of just 50 copies that feature postcard art from Jesse Harrison.
Recorded over the summer 2017 in The Netherlands and Finland, mixed by Eero Kaukomies at Sonic Pump Studios and given the final magic touch with mastering by Svante Forsbäck at Chartmakers, Hereafter comprises 9 songs of alternative prog built upon strong melodies and powerful harmonies. The core quartet of the band is supported with guest appearances by keyboardist Arttu Vauhkonen (Arion), string quintet ANSoS and kantele artist Aurora Visa.
The stunning, atmospheric album art was created by Jesse Harrison, providing a beautifully matching visualisation of the music.
We are delighted to announce Burntfield have signed to Progressive Gears, and are excited to join their roster on this progressive rock journey. Our new album is to be released through the label on 7 May, pre-order will start on 1 April. More details soon!
This week Burntfield and the new line-up pictured here (Juho Myllylä – Valtteri Seppänen – Maarten Vos – Steven Favier) will enter the studio to start the recordings of our debut album! The process, taking place over the summer, starts in The Netherlands and will resume in Finland.
More updates will follow!

We are STOKED to announce that Burntfield have joined the artist roster of Red Rock Management, a Hannover/Germany based artist booking, management and promotion agency! Red Rock will as of now represent us internationally with management and bookings. www.redrock-management.de/burntfield
At the same time it’s time to announce two changes in the line-up: Tero Heinonen and Aarne Toivonen quit Burntfield. We’d like to thank both of them for everything they’ve given for the group in the past and being part of the Burntfield story!
The story will, however, continue with two new members from The Netherlands: we’d like to introduce Maarten Vos, bass and Sebastiaan Cornelissen, drums. As a bassist Maarten has done a lot of session work and played with bands and artists like Willow Mae, Ole Man Trouble and Chet Vamp. Sebastiaan is a top-notch professional, who has played with the likes of Tristan and On Impulse, has a long experience working as an ‘on demand’ live and session artist, producing numerous of albums and working with jazz/fusion gems such as Randy Brecker, Gary Willis and Gary Husband. The two new faces are sure to bring a great deal of stunning musicianship to the group.
