Hereafter 2-year anniversary!

Today it’s been TWO (2!) years since the release of our debut album Hereafter on Progressive Gears Records! Hear Juho Myllylä say a few words on the occasion of the anniversary and perform a live solo acoustic rendition of one of the album tracks, Sub-zero in this video.

Hereafter is available for purchase in CD digipack and digital formats through the PGR Bigcartel store, Bandcamp and all major download/streaming outlets – thanks for supporting independent artists!

In the studio – album #2 in the works!

Burntfield have commenced recording their sophomore album, a follow-up to 2018’s Hereafter, released on Progressive Gears Records. The core trio of Juho Myllylä, Maarten Vos and Steven Favier flew to Helsinki, Finland to enter Sonic Pump Studios where bass and drums were recorded. Engineered again by Eero Kaukomies of Content Union Studios, the new album sees a continuation of a long-term partnership (since the beginning of Burntfield in 2013). We were also joined by long-time session keyboardist for Burntfield and sound wizard Arttu Vauhkonen – we’re grateful to once again have his input on the new album.

The work goes on – stay tuned for more updates on the recording process on Burntfield’s Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

Progfrog announcement

We regret to announce that Valtteri Seppänen has taken the decision to step out from Burntfield with immediate effect. This means that in these unfortunate circumstances we are forced to cancel our performance at ProgFrog Holland on 22 September. We feel truly sorry for having to pull out, however, IT & Quiet Wish from the Progressive Gears artist roster will still deliver a fantastic double-bill concert worth seeing.

Burntfield will continue the work in progress on our second album, with pre-production well underway and recordings to commence later in the year, aiming for a 2020 release and live action with a new line-up.

We hope you’re all having a great summer filled with music – keep in touch and see you back soon!
